Diluted turquoise

My first time diluting dye this much. And it may have been a bit too much dye too! It was half a teaspoon of directions turquoise with loads of conditioner. Even so, I love the result and it'll fade anyway. Didn't take at the roots so much, but eh, I don't mind.

I started with this :

With slightly darker roots because for whatever reason they didn't bleach too well this time.

Had the dye on for two hours and tadaaa!

Apart from the roots it covered evenly, but then again, it's not as light as I thought it would be. Will try even less dye next time. (:

That looks gorgeous! It will fade really quickly, so I think it was a good call to make it slightly darker than you wanted. Plus it is really difficult to get pale pastels even on the first application.

I really like this, I've never been able to get my hair evenly light enough to do this kind of shade. It looks lovely!

Thanks all! I'm very happy with this result and will continue on playing with very diluted dyes for a while I think.

I've washed once now, with bonacure silver shampoo (to tone down the slight yellow/green tinge on my roots, which worked! Miracle stuff) and it's not shifted too much. Just made it a little softer, less neon, hard to describe, so here's a pic!

Thanks all! I'm going to try some more very diluted colours once this fades and my dye arrives. πŸ™‚

Right now it's the shade I was aiming for, a pastel turq. But I have loved all the stages this hair is going through, and I think it's not all that patchy because it was slightly darker or neon-ish when first applied. πŸ™‚

The first pictures do look more like what a turquoise stone is actually like. I'm glad I still have about a full pot of the old turq left. As I keep hearing not that great things about the new formula.
