Your hair looks awesome, wow! and you are such a gorgeous lady π
You are too sweet π Thank you <3
What a gorgeous colour, there's so much depth to it. Love it!
Thank you! And yeah I was playing around with shadows, gels, mixing my own and whatnot but I didn't want to have to do them everyday because I usually go around makeup free unless I'm going anywhere other than the gas station. So I just decided to go all out and do it! π Yours look fabulous though, not to mention your awesome hair!
I wanted to add this, this was in natural light, no flash/filters and it's overcast out today. It really shows how bright and iridescent it looks and I totally love it <3 It looks pink AND purple, and it just changes whichever way the light hits it. Also wanted to add that the keratin is still holding up very well. I assume some probably got removed when I washed out my bleach bath root touch up, but the waves are still very relaxed, not as pin straight as they were before, but a lot more pleasant than without the keratin treatment, that's for sure! lol, and this was right after I woke up! You can see what my natural waves look like in my very first photo with the skany sailor costume lol.
That is SOOO pretty! I can see the iridescence on the photo, totally.
What do you think is creating the iridescence? I know that's what you were going for, but I'm still curious! Probably the combination of colours?
I've never believed in it, but those box dyes that claim to create highlights whilst depositing colour, I can't see how that can happen with a single application, as all the colour molecules are mixed together. But you've done it! So maybe it's just that right combination of colours that can create a multi-coloured illusion. It's brilliant!!
Thank you so much!!
I'm really not sure! I think it's just this particular 'is it pink or is it purple' color, natural shadows make strands/chunks appear more purple or darker pink while the light makes them appear lighter pink or lighter purple. Idk, I'm not sure what it is that creates that iridescence in some colors, maybe it's an equal amount of similar tones? Like hair that looks white but silver at the same time depending on where the light hits it, or teal that looks greener in strands and more blue in others, reds that look red in pieces but orange in others, you know what I mean?
You want to know what my inspiration for it was?
90's Windbreakers! LOL
Haha, I just always loved the fabric itself + the colors lol.
I really LOL'd at your inspiration!! That's so cool - I love that sort of fabric! That's a really good answer though, I suppose it's about the light hitting the hair at certain angles, and if you've got a mix of similar tones, then it will create shadows and highlights and an uncertainty of exactly what colour it is... makes sense.
I love it! I think that fabric has inspired me for some nail effects, ha ha. You've created it in your hair, soooo cool!!
To be honest, that's just kinda how these dyes go, especially if you redye frequently with different colours. They have an iridescent shine in themselves.
Love the new iredescent shade π
Pretty π reminds me of a highlighter slightly
Thanks ladies!!
Gorgeous colour
You've totally achieved your inspiration, it looks so amazing and bright and I love it so much! and the picture of how it fades - OMG, stunning, such a great colour combination! I love it! and You're so purrrtyyy!!! <3
Thanks so much @EdnaCloude and @crowcrow π You're so sweet <3
βThis is outside on an overcast day. I've been lazy and haven't taken a photo since going over my hair with diluted Virgin Rose, but here it is a couple weeks later and it hasn't faded at all. My hair was already more purple-y to begin with, so using the VR actually made it more pink looking, so I used my homemade purple conditioner (the Pravana, Directions and Manic Panic) to tone some purple back into it after. I am so happy with my color π I need to buy some more of the Cocochoco Brazilian Keratin Treatment, I can tell it's completely faded out now. Sorry my hair is a bit oily looking on the ends here, overdid the coconut oil a bit then went outside in the cold so it hardened lol. Plus my ends got split/damaged from using dull shears to trim and wasn't able to get them sharpened for almost 2 months. So it's shorter than this now, but the ends feel so much better π
