I think you look really pretty with the blonde and sooo awesome with the pink, it totally rocks! Loving the triangle undercut too.
I have horrible cowlicks. I'm growing my hair out and I'm already having a hard time dealing with them even this short. Do you have any advise on how to manage/cut them? Sorry for asking this on your timeline.

Update:

Well, my origional pink mix faded to a really reddish, raspberry pink which I am blaming on the Atomic Pink and my stained gingery ends:

So, after touching up my roots, I left out the Atomic Pink. I diluted the dye more this time and I used just Virgin Rose and Rose Red:

It still looked way to reddish for me, so I made a sort of toner. I used about a cup and a half of Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut conditioner, 1/2 ounce Virgin Rose, maybe a half teaspoon of Pravana Violet, and added maybe a half ounce of Hot Hot Pink just to "pink" it up a little bit. I mixed it in a white bowl and smudged some VR at the top of it so I could compare it. It looked like a sligtly more purpley version of diluted VR. I'm super happy with how it came out! This is exactly how I wanted it! I also cut off quite a bit layer wise to rid myself of those pesky stained ginger ends. There's still a little bit of them on the bottom layer ends, but I cut them all of of the majority of my layers. I'm really really happy with how it turned out.

Katie, that looks so VIBRANT and beautiful!  Amazing job you did - sounds like the rose, violet, and hot hot pink did the trick.  It looks so cooled down, and what a difference from what you describe as too 'red'.  That still looked pretty, but I can totally see a huge difference in the two!

And I know you said you trimmed out a lot of the ginger, so I can't even see it anymore.

I'm so pleased for you - it's such an amazing colour now, you suit it so well!!  I know you've worked hard to achieve that, and it looks so shiny and healthy too.  Well done, yay!

(Have to also add that I like the braid/plait you did in the top picture, very cute.)

I must say I am in love with your hair colour in the top picture with the braid, but I am really glad you finally got you ideal colour!

I LOVE your black-hair-with-white-streak too!

Thanks everyone! I am so happy with it! And thanks for the braid compliments too 🙂 It's an easy way to help camoflauge my cowlicks without having to resort to heat styling!

@IceBear I usually part my hair down the middle + let it air dry, but when my bangs are about 90% dry I blowdry them, still parted down the middle, pulling then straight down on each side. Then I take a diagonal section about an inch and a half to two inches from my hairline. So theres a middle parting that shifts to an abrupt diagonal.  Then I'll gently, lightly backcomb a little bit at the roots in a thin section right at my hairline, and do a couple little strokes of backcombing down the lengths of it too, which makes it easy to "shape" into place. It helps if I hairspray the underlayer of them a bit too. I use Paul Mitchell Super Clean Extra because it is very very light, the lightest aerosol I've ever used and it doesn't leave your hair sticky or looking like you have hairspray on and it doesn't leave your hair hard or anything. And I always backcomb with a thin boar bristle brush.

Edit:
Took a couple photos today, just to show what it looks like in natural light:

This is true to color right here, this is what it really looks like in real life:

No problem! And thanks ladies!

Update:
Okay, so it's probably hard to see the difference in texture in photos, but I did the Cocochoco Brazilian Keratin Treatment and my hair feels amazing. I added to @Alexia's review on it here:

I figured I'd post photos anyway. This is 2 days after I did the treatment. I have not had to re-straighten it, fix it, mess with it at all, nothing! So this is hair that was done 2 DAYS ago and hasn't had a thing done to it since, besides combing through it twice - even though it didn't end up even needing it, I have had ZERO tangles!

Jan 28th, 2014 Update:
I wanted to make it even more purple and really just wanted SFX Virgin Rose. But, with this global shortage, I just had to try and make my own. I used a little bit of all the pinks I have:
- SFX Virgin Rose (just a teeny bit of the small amount I have left that I'm clinging onto for dear life)
-SFX Atomic Pink
-Directions Rose Red
-Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink
-Pravana Magenta
-Pravana Pink
-Pravana Violet

I used about 1 ounce of each of the pinks, only a teeny bit of Virgin Rose though just so I could compare the swatch of my mix to it, and I used about 2 3/4 oz of the Pravana Violet and about 4 oz of conditioner. I just eyeballed it all then looked after I was done to see how much was left in the bottles + tubs to figure out how much I used. I still have about 5 oz left over.

Anyway I am super happy with how it turned out. Before I dyed it, I scrubbed with Biolage anti dandruff shampoo a couple times and let it set in my hair the third scrub for about 15 minutes. I wanted to lighten it up because I didn't want it to actually come out looking super purple and dark. This is what it looked like after the anti dandruff shampoo:

And, this is what it looks like now! I dyed my brows too! These are in natural light with no flash. First one is when it was cloudy, 2nd one is when the sun was peeking out - you can really tell how much more dimensional and iridescent it looks in that one.

ADDED BY ADMIN - The type of dyes we sell are not supposed to be used near the eyes so neither the Forum or Beeunique can recommend dyeing eyebrows.  Please be very very careful if you do decide to try this.

Whoa, the colour keeps getting more and more of a cool pink. I really love this one, it's gorgeous... really a stunning colour on you, Katie!

Are all Pravanas quite saturated then?

You've done so well!

That looks incredible! I love the purple toned pink. And your eyebrows look really good, I'm never sure if I could pull off dyed eyebrows.

Aw, thanks ladies! This is exactly how I've been trying to get it, that iridescent 'is it pink or is it purple' color. It looks so dimensional and just really iridescent, I am so happy with it!

And yeah, I was afraid I wasn't going to like the brows. I've tried just coloring them in and using gels and whatnot to make them pinks and purples but it never looked right. Plus my brows have been black since I was what...17? So when I'd color them in a different color I just couldn't get used to it and it felt like something was missing. I did want them darker, but since my brows are so sparse, even when I used to dye them black they still looked much lighter than black, so I'm just going to use shadow and whatnot to fill them in when the skin staining starts to go. Overall I'm super happy with all of it though!

@Alexia yeah, Pravana is good, but it's not as good as SFX when it comes to being highly pigmented. I'd say Sfx is #1, then Directions, Chi, then Pravana. I really just used their magenta and pink because I'm very low on my SFX and Directions dyes. Their pink and magenta start fading pretty quickly compared to their other colors. The Violet, Blue and Yellow seem to stay vibrant and last the longest out of their darker dyes.
