I thought I'd show you all a few of the weird and wonderful colours that my hair has gone in the past years. ^^

At 16, I still had my natural hair, super curly and quite blonde

After years of doing nothing to it, I wanted a change and since I no longer had school uniform restrictions, I used a Schwarzkopf purple dye. It originally came out really purple...

... but then faded to a red sort of a colour, which I liked quite a bit. You can also see here how long it was, since the curls hid a lot of it's actual length. Excuse the strange panda eyes, I used to think they looked good... ;____;

Unfortunately, my work and 6th form hated it. Apparently the purple was too 'gothic', so they semi-ironically asked me to dye it black:

Then I put red in the underlayer one summer. Peekaboo cat! Still one of my favourite hair colours to be honest.

When that faded I put Carnation pink and some pink colour by Rusk Scream that I can't remember the name of over the red parts. Then I tried to cover my roots with Directions ebony rather than my usual black dye and it ran, making some of the side bits purple which I quite liked

On sheer impulse I stupidly bleached it about 4 times in one day and used Stargazer Tropical Green which came out a lovely colour! Still have almost a full tube of this so may use it again sometime. There were a couple of faded pink bits from the front that I left in.

Unfortunately my hair was pretty much wrecked from all of this. I was going through a tough time emotionally anyway  and hacked half of it off with a penknife. So I went back to black and had a lot cut off to even it out and take out all the damage. Then it went through a lot of very yucky stages...

I'd wanted blue hair for quite some time, and by now there were no longer any work or school restrictions. I didn't want to destroy my hair again, so this time I went really slowly with 20 vol bleach.

First I used colour B4. Due to being coated in Schwarzkopf and years of straightening, almost nothing happened apart from the top going slightly ginger. Then I used Loreal Effasol, and a bit later bleached with 20vol. This is the only picture I have of it, but in the top left you can see that the front was much lighter due to being previously bleached, and the rest was definitely brown not black.

So I bleached it again and went very, very ginger...

It was pretty patchy since I didn't want to bleach out my regrowth until the rest was lighter, some had been previously bleached, and I didn't do a great job getting it all even. So I tried to even it out a bit on my next bleach jobs. Eventually I got to this a few weeks later:

My hairdresser friend wanted to have a go at it and helpfully took it the last bit of the way with about 2 hours of 10vol bleach and lots of toner. I also had the last few damaged ends snipped out and had it more styled. Finally we got this:

Then at last I covered it with Directions Atlantic Blue and got a lovely result! It's been this colour for almost a year now. Sometimes I put lighter bits in the front (just about visible here) for a bit of variety. ^^

Thanks for the comments! The little plufkin is called Moffin, he's a Campbell's/Winter White hybrid dwarf hamster. I love him to bits!

I'm thinking of going purple after the blue, a brighter version of the one I had before. :3

I've had the colour in for about a month now, and with a few top ups it seems to have settled down and isn't fading too much. I also finally got the courage to take off my eyebrows again, I can't stand having natural eyebrows, even with pencil over them, but during exams I couldn't be bothered with the maintenance. =)
