Thanks so much! I think the top picked up too much of the Cramer Color, which is blue, because under the lights at work, it looks a bit, well, bluer. Getting there though. Blonde is a tricky haircolour to work with but loads of options. I rather like the idea of pastels and might try to push the violets once the level is light enough.

Cool to hear I've changed the look so much with just changes to my hair, I like that, ha ha. 🙂

I absolutely LOVED black, and especially the blue-black, but I'm really digging the blondes now and keep on trying and trying to get the right shade.  As funny as it sounds, I'm hoping to achieve the idea of the blue-black effect with blonde, somehow... dunno.  Probably a very cool blonde would do it.

It's still a work-in-progress but loads of fun. 😀

That's sort of what I'm doing too! I loved having true and blue black and I'm going for a silvery white. I totally get what you mean. It's like going for the same tone but on opposite sides of the spectrum.

It's hard to describe isn't it, but I loved the look of blue-black, and as I'm doing blonde, I won't go back to black (go on, sing Amy Winehouse) now.  But I want the same overall effect, and I think you're right, a silvery white would probably do it.

I love what the Pravana Silver has done, it looks so different now! The coolness of it actually makes it look lighter  🙂 It looks so pretty + the cool blonde suits you really well, I love it! I can't wait to see your further progression! Looks like the pravana silver is definitely a keeper!

I would still love that look, but I don't think I'd need to dilute it at all to achieve that!  It's fun continuing to try it out in different ways, I'm going to need to buy more. 🙂

Here's how it happened.  And the more I look at it, the more I'm absolutely loving it.  Colleagues certainly noticed: one said she thought I got my hair professionally done, and another said this is the best blonde she's seen yet.

Looks different in different lights, and mobile camera flashes, of course, but the top row of pics is probably the most true to life.

Used this stuff (Nirvel ArtX Nutre Color Grey): <picture of hair dye removed>

Mixed with just a tiny bit of this stuff (Crazy Color Natural Blond) on bits that needed some neutralising: <picture of hair dye removed>

Here's how it happened.  And the more I look at it, the more I'm absolutely loving it.  Colleagues certainly noticed: one said she thought I got my hair professionally done, and another said this is the best blonde she's seen yet.

Ended up squeezing loads of the Nirvel into the conditioner without realising how much, so hey ho.  If the pictures don't show it, it's quite a lot darker than it was, even darker in contrast to my skin now, still on the 'blonde' end of the scale, but very deep and ultra ashy, yay... ;D

In an attempt to avoid bleaching and blend roots, I went for an ombre effect this weekend after using a colour remover on the toners I've been using.

I wanted more contrast, but it's best I started out subtle because, well, I chose to use box dyes(!) and don't quite remember how dark they take.  This weekend was a good practice, and I'm quite chuffed with the results.  I used a non-permanent box dye in dark blonde, and for the root area, I added a bit of light ash brown, and blended it about halfway down.  Then I used my Nirvel ArtX grey to tone and some Touch of Silver shampoo.

For now, I love the effect because it's cleaned up the top and roots quite a lot, a rather good blend for a first try - almost like the colours of a Siamese cat.  😀

... the root line is nearly hidden completely.

This weekend, used more demis, with a touch of medium ash brown this time, only top and sides.  Rinsed it off, then used a colour remover on the ends to bring back some brightness.

I like how there's now a contrast when I compare the side fringe to the back and top.

I use the Nirvel ArtX grey all the time.  I love the ashy effect, and yes, you can dilute it or use it more saturated depending upon the effect you want to achieve.

I was a very golden blonde, toning with Pravana Silver and other silvering products, then I tried a good saturation of the Nirvel grey, and I loved the effect.

Recently, I've been using it nearly undiluted to achieve a more gradated ombré, and though I first used a light brown permanent colour at the roots a couple weeks ago, this past weekend I covered it and blended it more with the Nirvel, just on the underlayers and top... this is how it looked after this weekend's colouring:

(I also did a colour remover at the ends, that's why it looks more golden toward the bottom.  It's still a work in progress. :))
