Hey dudes,
I keep promising to put some photos up and am finally getting round to it now. I have been try to get the perfect red/coppery hair for years and the hairdressers could only seem to get it to a browny coppery colour so I started doing it myself about 6 months ago and this is my hair journey:
I started off with the faded coppery brown that I had done at the hairdressers.
Then I put a Live XXL bright red on it but it didn't come out very bright.
then when that had faded I put Special Effect Hi Octave on which I loved but still wasn't bright enough.
Then I bleached some sections and put Hi Octave and Napalm on.
Still not bright enough but so I just used Napalm.
Then I decided to bleach bath it.
And I will put the rest on the next post....
Then I used Napalm once I did the bleach bath.
Which I LOVED but the I heard about this product call Loreal Majicontrast in pure copper which is a high lift tint so does the bleaching for you so I gave that a try.
Then my cat wanted to get in on the photo hehehehe.
And I am finally REALLY happy with the colour! I think it will fade faster so will put Napalm on in a couple of weeks to keep it bright!
looks wicked rtee! im so happy you got your desired colour and loreal worked out =)
Looks really good! It was a long journey for you but a good one π
Just an update, I washed it last night for the first time and the ends have faded a lot already so its back to Special effects to top it up and keep it lasting! Boo, but at least I don't have to bleach my roots anymore.
every cloud =) maybe it's the new shampoo?
It could be actually...good thinking batman. Even though the shampoo is supposed to hold 90% of the colour loads went down the drain! Its trial and error isn't it with all these different products..grrhh.. but I'm so fussy I will never be happy anyway hahahaha. Thanks my lovely.
no worries =) you should try some osmo essence. i totally swear by it. my blue is well into it's 7th week (other half is being lazy and has only just bleached my roots, evil man!) and it's still holding up fairly well.
Love it! I want something similar to this. π
Ooo im liking the choppy cut on the last pic, the colours lush too, u should try a bright orange, recon it'll suit u =]
Looking good π
