Hi guys, i think i'm posting this in the right place, just want to show off my hair today π
I'm trying to get my hair as white as possible, so i can get a lilac colour, so after 3 bleach baths i'm getting there steadily *yay*
So i'm trying out a lot of hairstyles that dont require heat and further damage (i havent used any heat on my hair for 4 weeks!) yesterday after washing it, i let my hair dry about 80% till it was slightly damp. I sectioned my hair into two and starting with 2 sections at the parting, began to twist the hair back over each other, then picking up more. i hope this makes sense >.< its similar to a french plait, i think their called rope braids or twist braids. I made 2 plaits, the pics will explain how i did it, (excuse my lack of make up and sexy pyjamas π )
but yeah after letting them dry overnight, it came out in this lovely wavy mermaid style π it would look great on really long colourful hair π
look gorgeous! I dont know how to braid like that but I do something similar you can try as well. I do 2 regular braids on damp hair and leave it all day (I usually do this to avoid heat styling for gigs) and by the night when I let it loose it is straight at the roots and with loose waves at the bottom. If you have wavy to curly hair another thing to do is this same thing but short braids, so that with the loose hair at the ends you can style a ringlet with your fingers... and when you take the braids out you've got straight roots, wavy middles and tons of cute ringlets at the ends π love it!
π the ringlets thing sounds cute haha π my hairs poker straight though so not sure it would work.
well, a fairly straight haired friend has a trick for that: she does the ringlets and then rings them around her bra straps to dry like that *puzz*. Sounds weird but it does manage to stay in shape that way...
haha that is a bit weird π but hey if it works..
Its cute. I used to get a shakira hair thing going on by 2 french plaits when wet and leavving it to dry while i slept. Massive hair when i took them out next day.
That's beautiful!
