I cant be bothered (however bad that sounds) she just kept going on and on about not taking too much off....Im actually close to chopping some of the front and getting the shavers out

I was so excited about a new style and colour and now Im just disapointed

Guess itll teach me for going to a cheap hairdressers, next time Ill pay extra for a better cut...why oh why cant hairdressers just do what you tell them!!!!

cos most of them are rubbish & would rather do what they want, rather than the style you desire :'( im sorry sweets. if you do cut, do a little bit first, not a whole chunk =s

Maybe a slightly shorter mohawk would look good, and more.. tousled but centred, the quiff look likely makes you feel like your face is longer etc.
I think the colour is lush, and your hair looks in good condition.. but the hairdresser didn't do it quite like how you were thinking I suspect 🙁
Be careful when/if you decide to trim it, it might look good a bit choppier? if you get me.. I saw the pictures you were eyeing in the inspiration threads 🙂

I really feel for you cos i was in the exact same boat 7 months ago - had my hair cut very short - but the hairdresser didnt listen to me at all, and i ended up with what i felt was a right mess. Everyone around me told me it looked lovely - but it wasnt what 'i' wanted. I found a different stylist after that.  

Im into my Level 2 now training as a hairdresser and the one thing i make absolutely certain is that i understand what the client wants - and if im not 100% sure then i proceed with caution - consulting them every step of the way, to ensure that the result is the closest possible thing to what they have in mind. So far so good iv had no mishaps.

I wish i was near to you so i could come and see if i can make it better for you - please dont chop it yourself though, either go back to them and complain - they should rectify it for free - or go to a different salon.

For the record i think it looks ace. But as i said above i know how it feels when you are not happy yourself xx

aww thanks MommyMorgan, I wish my hairdresser would listen, not once has she done as I asked, when I had long side and short side she just talked me out of shaving it, of course when there I just agree, when I come home and sit and think its like 'why did I bother 🙁 '

Ok - the length defintely looks better - but dont take anymore off,  find a new hairdresserr and ask for the sides shaved slightly lower - and the top of the quiff thinning out to give it some more shape and take the weight out , you should be good to go then 🙂

Yup im deffo more for hair! i spend tons on new hair stuff but rarely buy new clothes.. i just steal my sisters instead lmao xxx

I like it better shorter, I agree with Mommymorgan I think is needs to be thinned out at the top, less heavy more choppy!

I think the colour is gorgeous though, you will get there in the end, it's better that theres too much hair than not enough!

Know what, the best short androgynous styles come from barbers! I'd ring around a few, see if there's any ladies that work there as I think they'd be able to understand your case better!! Looks fecking cool tho matey!!
