Sadly I'm not sure I'd be able to hide three rows in my hair (its really fine) I can only hide two rows of clip ins. I think I'm just gonna stick with my clip ins for now - I just bought two new really long sets that I can double weft and dye blue.
My hair is really fine too, the first weft is only a few nicest long at the base of my neck. If you can wear clip ins you can deffo get weaved lol π the braid is smaller than a cm so doesn't take away too much hair either.
Ahh this is awesome, looks much more comfortable than my microbeads too! May have to consider it!
My best friends girlfriend is mixed race, I was talking to her the other day about extensions and she has her whole head weaved! I didnt even know, she has nice, long, straight hair, with a long, swoopy fringe, but apparently her actual hair is a massive afro! So an option for really really fine hair could be to gat it all done!
That's interesting, I didn't know you could do that either!! I'm happy with my clips for now but if I'm ever brave enough to foray into more permanent extensions again this sounds like the way to go! π
Amy how long have you had your micro loop / bead extensions in for now?
I only kept them in for a few months, they annoyed me so much, they kept getting tangled and matted, and keeping them neat made my damage my own hair with heat styling etc.
Did you find they had done any damage when you took them out? I lost loads of my hair (but I do have very fine hair which was quite damaged at the time so I'm interested to see how other people get on with them)
Quite a bit of hair came out when I took them out, but I'm sure that was just the natural shed that had been held into the beads. My hair wasn't too bad, It was a bit dry from all the heat styling and stuff, but it got back to normal after a few deep conditioning treatments.
So I took my hair out last night! My real hair had grown loads in the month so the braids were starting to drop out a bit!
They took about 30 mins if that to take out, I got Jon to help me as I couldn't really see what I was doing! As a heads up to anyone who's thinking of getting it done, or has one that they want to take out, a seam ripper is the best thing for carefully snipping the thread. So much easier than small scissors!
I have no damage from the extensions, a fair amount of natural hair came out when i brushed it, but it was the natural shedding which wasn't able to escape from the braids.
My hair feels weird, I feel like I'm bald because my head is loads lighter!!
Overall I can't wait to get the done again as they were pretty low maintenance for me, but started to matt up near the end of the month as the extensions I took her were a bit damaged and naff. I'm going to buy some decent ones for next time! The only negative thing for me was that is took forever for the hair to dry when I had washed it!
So tempted to get one!
That looked super nice π
Aw thanks! The pics I put up are a wee crap here's another for your enjoyment ha
I got the hair thinned out a bit recently as it was getting dead bushy and that made it look loads better.
everything about that pic is to dye for; ) the colour is so beautiful.
Love the hair, love the colour, love the t shirt too! π
How much did it cost? (just the weave not the hair itself)
It was Β£35 for her to do my hair from her house, but she has a salon now so it's Β£40, still a bargain though I think!
Yeah I really want mine sewn back in...they look amazing! <3
