this is a good tutorial on how to use bun rings, and she has a nice medium length hair too.
i had one of them round ones but my hair wasnt lonmg enough and the dog chewed it...
but maybe my hair will be long enough now!
it looks like yours is an adjustable version of the normal bun rings.
yeah.. i just cant manage to get the hair to go all the way round.
Lurking somewhere on the forum is a tutorial for sock buns. Where you cut ff the toe of a sock, slide the tube over your hair and then roll it down with your hair to make a bun. Because of the elastic in the sock it stays wherever you roll it down to. I think there's a video on youtube.
ohhh that sounds good.

There it is! The woman goes on and on for a bit but it is a good vid all the same. I did giggle when she realised she hadn't got an elastic band to tie it with though lol.
ohh cool given me a idea
sooo i made 2 sock donuts... cut the end off and rolled them etc.
put my hair in pig tails...
but i dont have alot of hair so i made it a messy bun by putting the hair band around it
and tadar!!
^^ in that second photo down the phrase '"it's a purple princess leia" jamp into my head!! Love it
Mathurine - I had a search and cannot see the sock bun tutorial on here but I will add the link to this thread if I can find it. That vid is brilliant btw and although I think you would need fairly long hair for the neat result, the second way of doing it looks amazing!
