Looks great, but I have never been able to work out how these things work.  I bought a cheapy one once and try as I might my hair never looked like a proper bun.

I think this works better to create a "bun" style. I had one when I had long hair, looks great and very easy to do. This is a "neat" bun in the pic, but you can also do a more "messy" one 😉 I bought mine at claire's

i had one of them round ones but my hair wasnt lonmg enough and the dog chewed it...

but maybe my hair will be long enough now!

it looks like yours is an adjustable version of the normal bun rings.

Lurking somewhere on the forum is a tutorial for sock buns. Where you cut ff the toe of a sock, slide the tube over your hair and then roll it down with your hair to make a bun. Because of the elastic in the sock it stays wherever you roll it down to. I think there's a video on youtube.

There it is! The woman goes on and on for a bit but it is a good vid all the same. I did giggle when she realised she hadn't got an elastic band to tie it with though lol.

sooo i made 2 sock donuts... cut the end off and rolled them etc.
put my hair in pig tails...
but i dont have alot of hair so i made it a messy bun by putting the hair band around it

and tadar!!

Mathurine - I had a search and cannot see the sock bun tutorial on here but I will add the link to this thread if I can find it.  That vid is brilliant btw and although I think you would need fairly long hair for the neat result, the second way of doing it looks amazing!
