Very much baby dreads! Installed on 13 august, so today they're three days old. My hair was also not that long and layered, so the top bits are all over the place still. ;D I wore a tam today and they went down a bit, so I'll wear it again tomorrow.

The lady that made them did it in 3,5 hours and braided them for me so I could go home without looking like sonic the hedgehog.
I took the braid out and put a shawl in for pictures :
There are 53 dreads, by the way. I've been wanting them for years, finally took the plunge!
So here's one of my tams :

She used a bit of backcombing and crochet to make them, said they knotted up nicely (bleached hair, huh). I'm excited to see where they will go.

Today marks first week of having dreads. So I washed them today. They're not fully dry yet, but it seems my sonic the hedgehog days are over. xD
And of course the back where all the action is. 😀
Lost two beads in the shower, put them back in now. Did order an elastic headband in bright red, curious to see how it will look. I'm soooo tempted to buy headbands from Janine's shop. @_@

Thank you all! I received my headbands today and WOW, they are gorgeous. 😀
When I have money again next month I might just have to order some more!
