As you can see in this thread http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=15254 I got to a very pale blonde by using Directions Silver over light golden blonde. Glitterpix and Knee High Susan suggested using a silver shampoo - I have some Bonacure - as a toner, so I slapped a lot on to dry hair, scrubbed it in, wrapped in clingfim and left it for three hours. I now have a silvery, lilac-toned white that I LOVE.
The first is after the Directions silver, the second is after the Bonacure - artificial light pic, no flash. I'll get natural light pictures tomorrow.

You do indeed, silver hair always looks rather ethereal and other worldly. My daughter says I look like an Elf Queen when my hair is silver, but then ruins it by adding 'a fat Elf' lol.
