So far I got my hair cut for the first time in 25 years. (My husband was very shocked; he'd only ever seen me with shoulder-length hair) And yes, I normally just threw some dark brown dye on - Nice and Easy usually - and then bunged it into plaits.
Then I had a bit of a birthday, a comment from the doctor which upset me, and my second son decided to become a dad. I admit I went a little off the rails and ended up with a quite different hair cut!
And then I got very fed up with having to dye out the grey - been that way since I was 13, so a major pain in the bottom - and I bought some bleach and went lighter!
Then I found this forum. Duh! Should have used the Colour B4, but we live and learn! After reading the excellent tutorial about going white, I've been bleach bathing, and am now here, blonder, still some orangey bits at the front, but hoping they'll fade. Or will end up being cut off!
So quite a bit of change in just 3 months, but I'm loving it, and really excited about being white some time in the near future, then maybe red, then blue, then who knows!
Wow, nice work! I hope you enjoy your return to colours, they're fun to play with. I've been pink and black, pink and green and now I'm pink and orange with yellow tips.
It's looking good!
yay for change. it look great and welcome
Fancy!
I'm loving that. I'm a little jealous of people who have the dedication and guts to go white. >->
*blush* thank you! Really pleased with the colour -so far - and the condition is good, thanks to The Joico products recommended in the white hair tutorial here! Next bleach bath in around 3 days!
oh it looks nice!
it looks great well done π if u want the yellow tinging to go then use a purple shampoo everytime u wash it will give it a more white silver look, the colour purple seems to counteract the orange yellow tones very very well π heard somewhere else on this site that a touch of silver shampoo is great and cheap π
It's looking great. I really want to go white but I keep getting bored and sticking another colour on!
By the way, I love the short haircut on you, it really suits you!
