I think if anything it will make it a lighter orange, I wouldn't imagine it coming out yellow unfortunately.

If it's only a few pieces you want to turn yellow then you could bleach in some streaks with minimal damage and dye those yellow and it will take πŸ™‚

I agree that chances are it will only lighten the orange a little if it does anything.

If you want true yellow stripes you will need to lighten the hair first and if you do this make sure the light stripes are quite large otherwise when you wash your hair chances are the orange will overpower the yellow and it will go a light orange colour instead.

the yellow will only brighten the orange, you will need to bleach out the red tones from the orange first (bleach blonde slices) then you'll be good to go with the yellow =]

Thanks guys, I tried it and some of my lighter hair turned yellowish and round my roots - i just did the under layer so it's all good! I am going to try get a blonde lightener someone suggested this might help since my hair is naturally fair πŸ™‚
I am going to re-dye my top layer of hair now with napalm ...is it best to put  conditioner on the layer of hair i don't want to colour? and then i can just put it up in a bun under my shower cap lol...is this best or does anyone have any better tips ? xx

Thanks, ive got it all on now! I just realised that if it all goes wrong its not too big of a deal as my bottom layer is just almost natural (ginger) so i can just dye it all napalm if it messes up and wait to do the yellow till it fades :p I will let you know how it turns out tho! πŸ™‚

In my experience of using napalm orange.... if you bleach it it turns a pretty bright yellow, you'd just have to go over it with your yellow dye (recommend manic panic electric banana) for the vibrancy.
