I had my hair dyed bright red at the hair dresser about 6 weeks ago. It was fading and wishy washy so thought I'd brighten it up. I used fudge paintbox vendetta red. It turned out a purpley colour. Quite dark. I've been using vosene and the kids shampoo to try and fade it. So my question is, how do I get it back to red? Ive ordered Directions pillar box red. Will this work? Please help. :'(

Red won't cover it, unless it's a lot lighter than the red. It sounds like it isn't.
Have you tried a colour remover? I like Decolour Remover, others like ColourB4 or Jo Bazz.

Hi, thanks. Actually just dried it after some serious shampooing and it's more of a pink now. I have used decolour remover with fab results, was just hoping to skip that step. *rofl*
After a few scrubs with vosene.
