which refuses to fade? I've heard those color removers don't work well on unnatural colors?
Over the past month, I've tried washing with harsh shampoos, hot hot water, even dish soap, but Nuclear Red is so bright and stubborn. Which was fantastic at first but now I am bored of it and have a bottle of Pravana blue that I'm itching to use.
** Also, will I have to get my hair back to blonde, i.e., remove ALL OF the red in order for the blue to look, well, blue? Or can I have a tinge of red/pink/orange/whatever is inevitably leftover?
*** Oh and also, is there anything you can do before dying to prevent a semi-permanenet color from staining and being so stubborn to remove? I did bleach the day I dyed, could that have something to do with it?
It is worth a try IMO. I have removed stubborn reds with colour removers very successfully, but not tried it on Nuclear Red.
Pravana blue will cover most bases, but the more red/orange left in your base the darker it will come out. So if you don't fade it enough your blue will look blackish. Ideally you need a blonde base for a bright blue.
Thanks. I will try it!
If you can get it down to a pastel shade it will cover perfectly
I've tried removers on nuclear and it didn't do a lot, if anything... but then it can be different for everyone!

What did you end up doing for nuclear? If anything...?
I think I faded it a bit and stuck pink over it! Or maybe orange? One or the other I should think π
