Ugh I've just noticed after washing my hair I have some super dark areas where the semi-perm colour seemed to grab more than others. My hair underneath isn't completely even but that's not it, and the extra dark spots aren't the most damaged areas either. Does anyone know what can cause this? I hate it!

I always get darker roots as they are the least damaged areas. My ends which have heat, bleach and mechanical damage so they don't hold the dye as well.
