Which pastel (or pastel-ish) shade looks best with dark roots in your opinion?

I think roots look fine regardless. 🙂 I stopped caring about roots showing when I started dying my hair unnatural colours, as it's very obvious it's dyed anyway. When I dyed my hair natural colours, it felt like I gave away a secret or something, haha! I even like roots now!

Maybe it helps to pick a colour with the same warmth as you natural hair? So if your own hair is ashy, go with a cooler colour. And if your hair has golden/reddish undertones, go with a warm colour. So it blends in?

Roots look mostly good once they hit that 1" and over mark regardless of the colour in my opinion 😀

Ha I have deliberately left my roots dark this time around because I think all colours look good with roots. I don't think it's as clean a look but it's nice and hopefully less damage.

I love dark roots too

my hair is naturally a light ashy brown, and i find that on me, green looks the best with roots.  they are still obvious, but they blend better.  right now my hair is pink, and my roots are bugging me.

I really like pastel pink and lilac with dark roots.

I'm a big fan of pastel pink with roots.

I agree with what everyone else has said.. I like a bit of root, I prefer the rooty look with most colours.

I think any pastel color looks great with dark roots. Pastel pink is probably my favorite, but Blue sounds just as gorgeous!
