Hi guys,
I'm planning to dye my hair red in a week or two (trying out Arctic Fox (Poison) for the first time). I do really want to go dark green next. I figure it's probably easier to go dark green from red, as I imagine a dark green will be more forgiving of a slightly peachy base as opposed to a mint base for red?
If it doesn't make too much difference I might start with the dark green (I'm thinking SFX Sonic Green) as it's the only colour I've never really done. I'm a bit torn with what to do! (I do want to do red too, and I already have the colours ) π
What do you guys think?
Thanks for reading!
I'd say green then red. Red is a lot more forgiving of not ideal bases and there's many more ways to counteract a green base by playing with balances of orange and pink. I've just gone red from green staining and it took a couple of attempts to get it out of rust orange (the pink was gradually toning the green so it pulled more rust shade of orange), but adding more pink got it to but I have a shade I like now. It's harder to do that with green.
Thank you so much for the advice! (And sorry for the late reply) I'm really looking forward to going green now! I haven't had bright hair on over a year. I guess I might stick with blues and greens for a while and work back around to red at some point.
Don't know how my mum will react though, she really seems to hate the idea of green hair. I'm 27 and she will still ignore me for days for doing things she disapproves of! I mean, I don't even live at home! I know it's certainly not my problem, but it irritates me still!
Hahah I'm 37 and I still worry what my parents (and in-laws ) will say every time I change my hair (or get a new tattoo!)
