What is wrong (or right) with this picture?

Jo Bazzed my hair last night to get rid of the faded murky red, worked pretty well and left a pale lavender/pink with orangey yellowy bleached roots...covered it with a mix of poppy red/carnation pink and about the same again of conditioner and left overnight hoping for a nice vibrant pinky red this morning!!

Wrong!!!! :'(

It didn't take on my roots at all and the rest was a patchy mish mash of reds, pinks, corals! Yuck!!....no real idea why as its never happened before, possibly too much conditioner, maybe over processed,  after effect of Jo Baz?

I have been thinking of going back to a natural shade for a while to give myself a  break so have decided to take the plunge and have covered the whole lot with a medium/dark chestnut brown!  It might take a bit of getting used to (for other people as well as me) but I actually REALLY like it!  It's quite liberating having 'normal' hair for the first time in about 4 years! 🙂
