Hello all! I'm an all natural dark brunette and I've just ordered some 24 inch blonde extensions (my hair is 17 inches at the longest). I want to attempt a sort of Balayage effect using my incoming extensions. I bought them in blonde instead of my natural color so I wouldn't have to bleach them. I'm just asking, would it be possible for me to pull this off? If I did, would it even show through enough to be considered Balayage or would I just end up with Ombre? I want to use semi-permanent color just encase I make some terrible mistakes. But do you think I could paint on brown dye in a sort of "inversion" of the Balayage technique? I wanted to know if any one has ever done this before or something similar. I know they have pre-dyed Balayage extensions out there but I've had a hard time seeing them on someone whose original hair isn't already lightened at the ends.

To the original poster - sorry I can't help I would be completely out of my depth but I would imagine that it will be hard to get the result that you are after.
So my question is - how on earth do I create a new post?? I am on the taptalk app and can't figure it out! (I am pretty much brand new to the forum by the way) Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how it's done in the app but on the mobile site the "new topic" botton is in a row of other buttons at the top of the forum. Assuming you've already selected the semi permanent forum. If you want to get out of the app format there may be a link at the bottom of the page of the bottom of a menu that say "view mobile version" or something like that. I'm not sure about this though.
