Unsure what to do next

Hi guys, I have searched for about an hour and can't find anything to answer my question , I believe I've attached a photo of my current hair (adore cajun spice, undiluted and over a faded pink) and I'm hoping you can help  πŸ™‚

So I was hoping for a more natural looking orange colour but this has come out ORANGE, and I've kept it for a while, basically til I ran out of dye lol but I'm not that keen. I miss my pink but I'm trying to avoid bleaching tbh as I've been doing it a few years now and I was hoping to grow it out enough to get a nice cut then start again!

So my questions, any advice on getting a more natural auburn colour?

Also half considering whacking a black on but I've never done a semi black before and my hair likes to keep dye in it pretty much until I bleach it out or cut it off. So how do blacks fade? I know I'd not want to keep it black for too long so I'm slightly dubious :-/

Also would a dye darker than my natural colour cover my roots?

Thanks

Ps. Sorry about the crappy photo I had to crop so I could get it to upload

Adore have a number of natural-ish shades, you can even mix them to create your own version of a "natural" red.
A slightly darker reddish-brown may not hide your roots entirely (especially as it fades) but it might give you a nice ombre effect.

Cajun Spice looks pretty orange!  Maybe try Copper Brown, or mix in a bit of Mocha?
