So a few weeks ago I dyed my hair from a pink/blonde/white to Purple Haze by MP with an Ion lavender strip in the front. I quickly realized this was not a good color on me and went ahead and used Colorfix to gently remove the purple before bleaching it.
Much to my dismay, the (Ion Brand) lavender strip turned a pastel blue color. This had happened before in the past, but I had blamed it on residual blue tones from a black dye I had used months before bleaching my hair (again from the same lavender).
I have only bleached it once so far but it seemed to have no effect on the blue, and I'm already pretty sure that dandruff shampoo/dish soap&baking soda will not serve any help as this is already a very light toned blue. I'm really wanting to avoid dying it a red tone as I'm not only attempting to achieve a white/grey but I'm not wanting to spend the money on a bottle of dye for a small strip that may likely simply bleach back into the blue tone.
I at some point had gotten rid of the first ice blue disaster by I -believe- dying it pink, which I am not against but only want to do as a last measure to minimize the number of times I need to bleach it.
I'm wondering if anyone here has had any sort of experience with this brand in particular or simply removing tough blues without the use of red dyes, and I am open to continuing to bleach my hair if it means it will strip the blue eventually.
The picture I have attached is accurate to size and tone of the blue
Thanks in advance.

Edit :: I had planned on (and used before) Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink if it came to that conclusion. I'm wanting to overall get the lightest color possible that will still remove the stain
What is the end result you want? White? Blonde?
Also, have you tried a colour remover yet?

I'm wanting to get to a light grey, and yes I had used Colorfix twice (once on dry, then immediately after on damp) prior to bleaching it, which had removed everything to almost the original color, sans the dreadful patch which as I said was completely unaffected by the bleach.
I should think you could get a light, slightly blue toned on that patch, grey over what you have (once the more yellow areas are toned to white).
You could try toning the blue with an orange dye heavily diluted with a cheap white conditioner. I don't think it'll go white though, blue would be a better base for grey.

Thanks I'll try the orange toner. n-n
Honestly I've just had such terrible experiences every time I add any sort of blue tint to my hair that I'm now simply terrified to willingly put it in. I actually feel rather stupid for unwittingly using a blue-based pastel.
I'm trying to get it to a slightly lighter version of this color.
I would give some more fading treatments a whirl. I would try using a clarifying/antidandruff shampoo, mixed with some baking soda and lemon juice. Put a cap over it and warm it up for 10 minutes and leave it for another 20 minutes and rinse it out in hot water. If that doesn't work, these worked really well for me:

And there's others here too:

And if it's still there, which really it shouldn't be, but if it is, toning it with the opposite color will help neutralize it and probably make it more of a greyish sort of cold blonde color. If it's more blue, use an orange to tone, but if it's a green blue use a red based orange or mix a little red in with an orange, or if it's more of a lavender blue, use a yellow based orange or mix a little yellow in with an orange. You can put a true to life photo into an image editing site or program/app and just invert the colors to see exactly what colors you need
There's something about certain purple dyes that reacts really oddly to removers/bleach. Removers on some purple dyes seem to go blue, and bleach turns others green (lime popsicle green, at that).
I do think you could get a silver/grey over that quite easily, but not white. Let us know how the toning goes.

I bleached it once more and mixed two shades of light ash blonde that had a grey tone to them and it not only removed the blue, but turned white. Very pleased. n-n
