Things I learn when screwing up my hair

So y'know when you think you know what you're doing, then the bleach instructions say  No!  Don't use 30vol!  so you dilute it to 20vol and end up with orange instead of yellow hair  (thanks)  buuuut you go ahead and dye it anyway .....

Yeah.  I put purple over orange and have a weird peachy-browny-pinky-purple thing going on.

What I should have done was mix up two solutions - 30vol for the lengths and 20vol for the roots.  OR not dyed it, waited, and done a bleach bath on the orange.

Every failure is a step towards success though, right?  RIGHT?!

You could try using a slightly deeper purple because it would probably cover! It looks good still πŸ˜€

What bleach was it? I've not seen that before.

It was Wella Blondor.  It says not to use higher than 20vol for root/scalp application.

I do have deeper purples but I thought I'd go with the warmest one I have (Adore Violet Gem) in case of super muddy neutralising effects - my hair was very orange!  Although I did add a squirt of Purple Rage for some reason.

It's actually kind of growing on me, especially since my toddler said it's pretty, so I'll maybe give it a week or two to see how it fades and go from there.

I quite like that actually! Looks like a sort of (I hope I translated this word correctly) mother of pearl effect. As if it was delibirate!
