I can't remember if I've posted this, but MP Green Envy starts of a lovely dark green (the gallery is really accurate haha) and fades to a nice pastel minty/bluey/green. It's hard for me to describe because as it's faded it's gone from a solid colour to really multi-tonal!

Directions Coral Red gets a lot brighter as it fades; it's a kind of neon orange after five or six washes.

I've discovered that if you mix Crazy Colours Pine Green with a lot of conditioner you get a lovely vibrant turquoise blue/green colour, it's almost UV-looking. And you can probably get gallons of it out of it!

I have a little question, I know I shouldn't be on this post since I use a permanent color, but the red is very pink based, it looks hot pink when I dye it and after, but once I wash it it turns a little ariel-ish then a month later it turns a little orangy, does all this fading have to do with your base color? Mine is like an orangy brown from a bad dye job at the salon, I'm going to try Pravana red semi dye and I was wondering if no matter what, my color will fade orangy since that's what my hair was previously dyed even before permanent.
I really want to try special effects devilish, but not sure now!

your base colour and the base of the dye depend on your fade. for instance my base is white/silver. my dye is a blue based purple, so will fade to a bluey silver.

so if you use a orange based red, it'll fade to red. BUT if you mix a red and pink based red together you'll have a true red fade. hope this makes sense =)

as regards pravana's base. i have NO clue =s

MP Green Envy is terrible to me. It fades without washing or other typical fading things (like sunlight) for me. I've dyed it twice now, first time it was on for four hours, second time for 12. Turned out the same. It turns yellow, multitoned, like someone above me posted. But unfortunately not blue, but yellow.

I'm soooo sad about this, because it's the most gorgeous actual dark green (no hint of blue), at least it's my favourite. But if my colour lasts less than a week, it gets annoying. 😛

And to think that the hair at my neck (lower layer) was dyed Tropical Green somewhere in the beginning of january and it's still very much the same colour. I'm afraid MP might not agree with my hair. 🙁

Pravana red when applied, was wayyy too dark and burgundy sort of, after several scrubbing washes, it is a beautiful bright, true, red 🙂

Directions Ebony fades and becomes Manic Panic's Enchanted Forest.

I have dark hair normally but bleached it blonde beforehand which may have helped with the result I got on a dark green-blue shade after only a few washes.

SFX - Candy Apple Red fades to pink, my hair has brassy tones underneath so they kinda mix to create a dirty pinky orange. 🙂

Directions Violet- Faded to a lilacy colour both times. With the turquoise it seems a little bluer than last time but that might be from the other dye.
Directions Turquoise- has stayed pretty well (2 months now!), fading to a slightly lighter turquoise colour.
