So, I've orded Napalm Orange. My hair is bleached to a caramel tone, and in perfectly healthy condition. Absolutely zero damage, because I knew what the hell I was doing. ;D - And, no. My hair isn't virgin hair. It's been red, blue, brown, blonde whilst below the age of 10, and very near black by accident.

^ That's my journey so far. I stripped my hair to brown, then bleached it.The last image is my current hair, though it looks slightly darker in that image. Ignore the scribbly. My mouth looked funny.   πŸ˜›

Leaving the dye in makes it last alot longer, and come out alot brighter. I know this, from both experience and advice.
BUT.
I've heard that Napalm orange comes out red to begin with.

So, here are my questions.
If you've had Napalm Orange hair, or orange hair in general,
How fast did the red-ish fade?
How long did you leave your dye in for?
How fast did it fade?
What colour did it fade to?
What colour was your hair to begin with?
Whilst red, if it started that way, did it shine orange in certain lights?

I don't mind if it goes red to begin with, or red for a while until it fades a bit, but it's obviously not preferable. I've had red hair before. No biggie for a week or so.
This is actually more curiosity than anything. I'm absolutely set to dye my hair this shade, especially since I already ordered it. XD

I haven't used my napalm orange yet but I used Stargazer Dawn last time and that came out reddish. In the sunlight though it was deep orange. I'm hoping Napalm will be similar. My orange sections are now very pale orange, almost back to the bleached hair I had before but it's been a very long time since I did the colour.

Well, I'll be sure to let you know if it turns out as red as I'm expecting. My dye's turned up today, so there should be photo's of it either tonight or tomorrow.

The red lasted a couple of weeks on me, and the orange lasted nearly 3 months but I did leave the dye on for about 6 hours. Mix in quite a bit of conditioner and it should go on orange or at least not be red for as long. It's a really nice red though :3

I just did a strand test, just incase. The roots are definitely going to be orange, as they're more blonde, but the gingery bits should be a bit darker. πŸ™‚
Lmfao, Wicked. Just tell your OH that it's not permanent. >_> It probably won't work, but worth a shot.
Super happy with the results. To the dying!
*Typing with these gloves on is so trippy.*

The cling film part is the worst for me, I think. I was like, "Yes! Covered it ALL! πŸ˜€ First try! Bam!"
And then I picked up the cling film xD Mom uses this stuff they use in the factories. It's a maasssiiive roll, and rediculously... Clingy. >->;
I failed like three times. Dx
But it's on now, and secured in place. Gonna wait a couple of hours. Whoop whoop.
Haven't gotten any on my hands at all, which I'm happy about, because it's my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow, and we're going out to eat. xD

I sometimes double glove and still get some on my hands, between my fingers at least so you can't see it that well. I never have figured out how I always get a hole there.

I use those white latex type ones, and put a hair bobble around the wrist of it because it isn't tight enough around there. My mom uses them too, and neither of us ever get holes in them.
Except for that one time she accidentally stabbed herself with a rattail comb, but that doesn't count. XD

I used Napalm Orange for a while and mine never went red, however it washed out VERY quickly for me. It was lovely and bright for maybe a week, but after two washes (could have even been one) it went very dull ginger.

Show us pics when you're done! πŸ˜€

You might not have left it in long enough, or used conditioner beforehand or something. Alot of people find that if they leave it in for the reccomended time, then it doesn't turn out as good.

But yes! The deed is done!

Just for kicks, a silly before picture:

And after! πŸ™‚

I'm very, very, very happy with the results. I've already been recommending  Special Effects to my friends. xD It's only the tiniest but more red than I'd have liked, but I'm still absolutely thrilled with my new hair.
when I washed it, I dried it with a towel, lifted my head up, and looked in the mirror. My reaction was just, "... My hair's orange."
Then a big ol' fit of squealing and happiness. xD

Now everyone thinks that I look kickass. πŸ™‚
