Special Effects on Unbleached Hair?

Hello!

I am wanting to dye my hair for the very first time. At the moment, my hair is a medium/light blonde and just reaches past my shoulders. It is  medium thickness. I was considering using Special effects Deep Purple for the summer. I have a couple of questions:

1) How long will it last?
2) Will it completely fade?
3) How much will I have to dilute it? (I only want to buy one bottle for my whole head).

If you know any other brands that will last AGES on virgin, unbleached hair, please tell me below.

EDIT: In a week, I condition my hair and then a couple of days later I shampoo and condition it.
Many thanks!

It's impossible to say on all counts really.

1, Depends how you wash your hair and how often.
2, It depends on your hair. ANY dye can stain hair, absolutely any, so you have to weigh up the risks. Special Effects tends to be a dye that lasts longer.
3, Some peoples hair soaks up dye like a sponge, so you might need more than the average, you might need less.

1) How long will it last?
Probably somewhere between a week to several months.  Depends how well it sticks to your hair, plus how often it's exposed to bright sunlight, hot water, shampoo, etc etc.

2) Will it completely fade?
Maybe/probably.  Again, will be affected by factors ranging from how porous your hair is to what products you use.  Hair colour removers exist and work pretty well but aren't 100% guaranteed.

3) How much will I have to dilute it?
No idea.  Generally speaking, I dilute heavily-pigmented dyes 1:1 with white conditioner and leave them on overnight OR all day.  Seems to work (for me).  You might want to dilute less to have more chance of a vibrant colour.  Definitely leave it on for as long as possible though.  That's the great thing about direct dyes, they're like a conditioning mask  πŸ™‚
