Special Effects Electric Blue on what base?

I've had enough of red and want to change that part of my hair to blue. I know I'll have to bleach it and I'm fairly confident I can get the red out but what sort of blonde base do I need for the blue to cover?

I used electric blue over a light pink base! I was pinkissimo & faded it a bit. Wasnt worried cos EB ate up the pink like a boss!

Why go for the bleach right away? You should always try a colour remover first.

The base was ginger so it'll need bleaching regardless.

Ok, fair enough, but I would still say use the colour remover. What's the point of damaging your hair more than you need to by bleaching out something that might come out in other ways?

Definitely colour remove first. Red is such a bitch to remove,  so save the bleach for if you need it. I'm sure there's a lot of us who have ruined our hair doing it (myself included)
