Is Punky Colors available to you? I've started using that instead of Manic Panic and it stays a lot longer, and it seems to fade nicer as well. I would have suggested Pravana or Sparks, but it seems those aren't available to you if I read correctly (I skimmed)

Thanks for all the advice, I'm dyeing today (erm, way overdue -_-' ) and I will :
- apply on hair that's as dry as possible (washing in the afternoon, dyeing tonight, I'm currently waiting for it to dry)
- leave on overnight - will remind me the good old henna times !
Also I usually apply some diluted vinegar after shampoo cause semi perms are supposed to work i,n acidic environment but since vinegar smoothes the hair I thought it might be counterproductive all in all so I didn't this time.
And then we'll see  ;D .

When I've finished my Manic Panic I will try other brands available at Beeunique, SFX to begin with I think. I haven't looked for Punky Colors neither but I'm afraid it will be the same. There seems to be some kind of customs ban or whatnot on dyes between US and France ? I dunno.

Sounds great! Just be sure that after you shampoo, do not condition it or apply any products/oils, they can hinder the dye uptake.

And with vinegar rinses when it comes to semis, it's best to do one after you've dyed, rinsed + conditioned. The pH of it lowers the cuticle, which is great for after dying, but not so great before dying with a semi.

So in spite of trying everything to have it stay more, no luck - I still finished my stock, not going to throw it away, and today at last I could order some new stuff : unfortunately still no greens from SFX, so I bought blue = SFX blue haired freak + green = Directions apple green and alpine green (which were the wery first I ever used if I remember well. We'll see how it goes, I only bought 1 bottle of each in case I'm YET AGAIN disappointed ! Gah.

How about Adores Aquamarine? I can't see SFX producing any greens any time soon. Until Beeunique starts stocking it you can get Pravana from Ebay

Unfortunately pravana sellers never seem to ship to France ... I don't know, some kind of regulation I think ? I haven't checked for a while though, maybe I should again (and then realize some do, now that I've ordered my stuff on beeunique, bwahaha >< )
About the adore aquamarine : it seems too blue for me, I need a really green green, to make my own mix ... I'd rather not use one colour just straight out of the bottle, with green and blue mixed I like to change the hue slightly depending on my mood  8)

Me again ! The return πŸ˜›

So yesterday I finally was able to try SFX = the order I told about end of september. Somehow it got lost (first time ever something went wrong, well s**t happens), in the meantime direction alpine green went out of stock, so all in all I recieved last week at last : SFX blue haired freak, directions apple green, crazy colors pine green.
So far I can say I got better coverage than with MP. Very vibrant colour, too, I'm going to take a hopefully not too hideous bathroom selfie to show you. Need a tiny touch up somewhere near the temple, but nothing compared to what I got with MP (and I didn't do any touch ups with MP when it wouldn't want to stick on my white wispies, seemed hopeless anyway). Then we'll see how it holds in time.
Also, since my coloured lengths were getting pretty faded too, I had to use quite a lot of dye, it seems this current batch of dye won't last very long !
So I browsed around to see if I could order some pravana or joico and TA DAAA at last I found a UK seller who sends joico to france ! Ordered it right away, in case it gets out of stock, I won't use it right away but I won't be forced to go weeks with my bandana like I did last month.

OK, off to the bathroom trying to get some realistic looking pictures πŸ˜€

edit : pictures !

indoors, then outdoors :

Thank you ! Also I'm pleased at the progressive mixing of the 2 colours (geen and my brown), which is funny since the greener it gets, the more white hair I have that means ... I've found a way to be happy about getting whiter, that is neat  ;D

I think lots of people here are from Europe, right ? Should someone know of a supplier that would ship (Pravana, or Joico vero k-pak) to european countries, please please tell me !

In around a week or so you will be able to get Pravana on Beeunique πŸ™‚
Only a small delivery this first time round but more arriving a couple of weeks after that x

Thank you Nickki that'll be my next dye purchase for sure, I haven't tried Pravana so far but I did read a lot of good things about it. Since I just bought some joico k-pak yesterday it won't be right now though, too bad I was so click-happy with it. But I need to test the difference between these 2 anyway πŸ˜€

SFX nuclear red is *not* budging despite frequent washes for me; never tried blue or green shades in that brand though. Manic panic does not last long on me at all.

So I'm 2 weeks and 1 shampoo after dyeing (and due for another shampoo, but no time for it), and still I've got LESS fading than after 1 week and no shampoo with MP ... even when rinsing the dye it was already very noticeable, I would rinse and rinse with MP and it would come out green endlessly, now with the SFX / directions / crazy colours mix, once the excess was rinsed off the water was just running clear.
Since I've got quite the mix of different brands, I guess the conclusion for me would be : averything seems better than MP.
