Guys can I just ask, what is the etiquette for sleeping with dye in your hair? I've had my dye in since 5 oclock and have a shower cap on ATM but it really doesn't feel secure enough to leave it on overnight if I choose to. I mean how do you stop it gettin all over your face?

I usually use a carrier bag & a beanie on whilst I sleep. Also if you have nice pillow cases pop a towel down. I cant sleep with  shower cap as im a fidget worm.  I feel I can control careier bag movement slightly more πŸ˜‰

Cling film, that's what I do. I go from the back bringing it to the front, then the opposite with another piece. Then I put a shower cap on that.

Shower cap and beanie is what I do, I have quite short hair though which makes it easier. I used to use hairclips as well when it was longer.

I do clingfilm and a beanie over the top because I flail around when I sleep, I hate sleeping in dye though πŸ™

I do a carrier bag tied with a hair band and a towel over like a turban. Plus a towel on the pillow. Make sure you vaseline your ears though and leave them outside the bag!

I make the handles into a bun & secure with a hair band. Does the trick πŸ™‚

I plait my hair (with gloves on), plonk it on top of my head then wrap cling film around it. Then I put a towel down. & lots of vaseline!

Clingfilm, beanie, towel on pillow πŸ™‚ only done it a couple of times myself, but I did find I kept waking and worrying it was getting everywhere

Shower cap, sometimes without if the dye is "dry" enough so I just sleep on a towel πŸ™‚

I'm lazy and literally just use a shopping bag. Right now I'm only dyeing the underneath layer of my hair, so the rest is up in a bun and the shopping bag is over the dyed portion and hooked onto my bun. I look gorgeous.

Clips, clingfilm, hat and a towel on the pillow work for me. I rub vaseline on to my head, ears and neck too.

Okies..*totally* newb question here.. I hope you forgive meh!

But - what is the point of sleeping in dye? Is it to leave it on for longer so that the colour is more intense or stays longer or something? Just asking out of curiosity as it may help me in the future if I need to do this at some point. πŸ™‚
