Hey!
So here's the deal: I have new blonde extensions that I wanted to dip dye purple to white. I bought directions toner and left it on for about an hour but they're still pretty damn blonde! I was wondering what the next best course of action would be, and I hope someone sees this soon cause I'm going on Holiday for a month on Wednesday and I really need them dyed before Tuesday!
My options are (although I'm open to new ideas):
shimmer lights silver shampoo
directions silver
directions lilac
crazy color silver
Please can you help me decide what to do? I really would love a silver dip dye but I'm willing to settle for a lilac one if that just ain't happening.
In the pictures, they're still wet and do look pretty silver but in real life they're darker and with more yellow tones.
Ok in the pictures they actually look the exact colour I'm trying to achieve! haha but they're like... Not as pretty, they're a darker kinda greyish blonde
Crazy colour silver went pretty silver on my blonde extensions from that colour so maybe try that u diluted for a little bit? Strand test though to be sure
Awesome thanks!
So you would ideally like a deeper silver than you have now, ideally? I would test strand the Crazy Color Silver if you haven't yet since you already have it, it may do the job! If it doesn't turn out dark enough, Pravana Silver on them diluted in conditioner would be good, but you would need to order it online or if you know a stylist have them pick one up for you at their professional supply shop. So that may not be an option for you since you're leaving soon. Or, try Ion's Titanium from Sallys, it's a really pretty mid to light silver that you can dilute with conditioner if you want too to make it even lighter.
Well they look way more silver in the pics, they're still quite a bit blonde so the ideal would be just to get rid of the stubborn yellow tones! And I might give that a try, thanks for the help π
Were they brand new extensions? Sometimes they need a good shampoo before dyeing as they are coated in something that blocks the dye. Bear in mind that when you dye the top purple, the run off when rinsing will help to tone the blonde ends too.
