How do you make the perfect shade of true red?

I know its been asked on here a billion times but I can't remember the combination as I haven't been red for ages - is it 50:50 Nuclear and Candy Apple Red or is it a different mix with Cherry Bomb, Blood Red or Devillish

A xXx

I *think* intempestivity uses half and half nuclear red and cherry bomb to make a try red πŸ™‚

It's a 50:50 mix of a pink based & orange based red.  Which ones you use depends on the intensity you want.  Both Nuclear Red & Cherry Bomb are quite neon over bleached hair, so for a true neon red, it'd be 50:50 NR to CB.  If you want to take it down a notch or two, substitute Devilish for the Cherry Bomb, and if you want it more muted still, use Blood Red instead of cherry bomb.  But any pink based & orange based dyes will work, just make sure you're mixing equal quantities of each base to get a true red. That's assuming your base is neutral of course.  If your base is bleached to orange, you'll need slightly more of the pink based red to counteract the orange base, and vice versa if your base is pinkish.
