Ok so I knew when I used rose red that it would not be red and I also was prepared for it to stain me bathroom and my face but the think I didn't expect is for my hair to be really really purple.
Is this normal or did I get sent the wrong colour?
what was you base colour? as this could effect the outcome? just wash you hair a couple of times, that should lighen it up =)
The nature of these dyes mean they can stain the skin and surroundings however if cleaned off quickly the stain or mess should be minimal. When this is not possible there are various things you can try to remove dye stains from skin and baths etc and these can be seen here: http://www.beeunique.co.uk/Hair-Tips.htm
As Pippa says a few more washes and the staining should stop thankfully.
I was looking at a pot of Rose Red today and it looked very purple! However my last batch of Rose Red looked dark red in the tub.
Also, you can buy barrier cream from most hairdressing places like sallys, I got a massive tub for a few quid, it's a lifesaver 😀 Just grease up the back of your neck, around your ears and forehead before you start. I think vaseline would probably work just as well too.
I just shoved some rosed red on top of my boring brown hair and fell in love with this colour all over again. People say it's impossible to get a multitonal dye but depending on what light you're in Rose Red can make your hair red, pink, browny red or purple. It's fantastic.
When i put it on my orangey hair it turned ribena colour :s
So i guess its okay, if your not the only one?
You can always mix it with a bright red for the red colours to come out more? That's what I used to do.
