Roots not taking colour, never the same as the rest of hair

I've bleached my roots and dyed it carnation pink. I love the colour but the ends are darker ( not 100% same shade as it was very very faded rubine) and the roots have got a slightly giner/blonde colour. I have had this experience for a while now. The roots never go the same shade as the rest, always lighter. Is this normal and how do i combat it? thanks

How long did you leave the color in?

Did you put the color on top of clean hair that had NOT been conditioned?

Carnation pink isn't very forgiving on darker colours ... how different were your roots to your lengths?  If more than a shade of difference, it will show up uneven.

It was clean and was left in for a few hours. My roots never come out the same shade, always slightly lighters. I think the difference between the ends and the bleach not take right this time has done it. The thing is i dont know what to do now or how to fix it with out going to town with more bleach πŸ™

maybe add a tinyy amount of a dark pink to the carnation pink for your roots, just to make it slightly darker and hopefully match the rest of your hair?

^ I actually have done this before with a red shade, I'd used something different to my normal dyes and my roots had that 'glow' to them, so I mixed a tiny amount of blood red into the dye and painted it onto my roots using a tint brush then combed it through a little so it wasn't a straight line, if that makes sense. It did work.

The results, the roots still not taking the colour right. Should i touch up with c. pink or another colour?

I could try a darker shade on the roots, maybe flamingo pink?
The roots arent so bad just now, i lightened the whole head to get it more even. The roots looks slightly peach at the moment but i'll leave it on for a good 6 hours.

That looks fine, it looks like its taken and its all even πŸ™‚ but if your not happy with it put a darker shade on the roots and blend it in πŸ™‚

Thanks πŸ˜€ Its mostly there, just some blonde and v.pale pink bits but i do tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my hair lol I'm already planning my next colour. Rubine did come out lighter on the roots but c.pink has been the one i've struggled most with.
