Red-Black Dye

Hello there! My hair is currently faded blue-black and in the light it looks reddish. I was hoping to find a similar red-black dye as I like the way it looks but have so far come up empty. Can anyone suggest a red-black dye? Or is it possible to "create" my own with two different dyes?
Thanks for the help!

If you put a dark red dye over a black shade I think you should get a tint of red in the same way you do with blue black.

I wouldn't be able to maintain that shade continually dyeing it with the red though would I? Or could I mix the two each time I redye?

Are you using semi dye for the black? (I think I was assuming a permanent black base where you would mainly need to touch up the red.)

I think mixing a very dark brown or red based black semi together with a red might work. I'm not actually very experienced with blacks, hopefully someone else with more black knowledge will weigh in.

I'm using the Live Cosmic Blue at the moment. Live used to do a nice one in the "Rockin Blacks" collection but it was discontinued :/
Thanks for your help though

If you want a permanent black I would switch to a 'soft' or 'natural' black and put a red semi over the top to add the red sheen. Then you only need to do the roots with the permanent dye so you will avoid a lot of unnecessary damage.
