Evening all...
I was going to wait another week before dyeing so the colour would definitely last til after Xmas but my hideous grey hairs are getting to me now (as discovered on a sneaky selfie earlier on!) So, I have decided the time has come for a full colour change!
My hair is finally in pretty decent (ish) condition if a little dry and I really want to keep it that way as much as I can. My plan is to do a colour remover (JoBaz) to get rid of as much colour as possible followed by a coconut oil for a few hours, I need to bleach coz of roots/greys so will then do a quick bleach bath - will probably end up as a gingery base I would think - then put the colour on and leave overnight (Directions Rubine, diluted with a bit of conditioner and a blob of left-over Poppy Red).
Does that all sound ok to minimise (as much as possible) any potential damage?

I think that sounds like a good plan. I guess also monitor how light your hair is getting so you can leave there bleach on for the shortest time possible π
Not a great idea to bleach straight after a colour remover IMO. Even if it doesn't re-oxidise your hair and scalp will be very dry, so best to wait a week even if using coconut oil.
Do you really need to use a colour remover? The bleach bath might remove enough of your current colour
Yeah I wouldn't bleach after doing a colour remover. You don't want to burn your scalp!
Sorry you are all right, I didn't realise you meant straight after sorry.
Thanks ladies, I'll miss that step out as it was already quite faded and I'll go straight for the bleach π Sitting with CO on now and will do the bleach in a few hours!
