Hello,
I have a question about the order/method/layering/? of bleach and dye on already bleached hair.
First, I'll say why I cut half of my hair length four months ago : because it was damaged. Now, I have around two inches of regrowth (from the last time I bleached, so maybe three months ago). Two inches isn't even half a head, so~
So,[glow=blue,2,300] I've dyed my hair about 15-20 times now[/glow] (considering that I'm in 8th grade, oops?) and for my next hair adventure my plan goes something like this : Bleach hair to a 7.5-12 (according to the picture), then dying the bleached hair a shade between 3-5.
It's really just two steps, but I have a few issues. The first being,[glow=yellow,2,300] how much damage on my hair will happen?[/glow]
My guess is a lot seeing as I've bleached quite a lot, even if my hair is somewhat soft and tolerable. [glow=orange,2,300]Will I need to cut my hair off again if it becomes as damaged as before?[/glow]
Second, [glow=yellow,2,300]Will I get even coverage?[/glow] My hair has patches of very dark brown on dark brown, so my thought is that[glow=yellow,2,300] bleaching it somewhere near blonde could give me even coverage/no patches when I dye it?[/glow]
I know that bleaching hair more than two levels is bad, but I don't know much else to do ? [glow=orange,2,300]Is there any other way to get results I'd like?[/glow] Other than going to the salon, [glow=yellow,2,300]I'm mainly wanting even color and little to no damage. [/glow]Im guessing I would need hair oil, masks, treatments, deep conditioners for the 'no damage' part. Any help?
So what is your current hair like? natural roots and bleached ends that are dyed pink?
What colour do you ultimately want?
Never bleach hair that has been previously bleached if you can avoid it (ie if it is already light enough)That is the route to damage and breakage because bleach damage is permanent and cumulative

That's right- two inch natural roots, dark brown hair then bleached ends dyed pink.
I'd like to have the dark brown hair bleached to a sort of chestnut brown, along with the regrowth.
In that case you need to use a colour remover on the dyed brown parts. You may need more than one go if the brown has been on a long time or has had several applications
Then you probably won't need to bleach that area if you want brown, just your regrowth.
