So currently my hair is a lightish pink fading to a pastely salmon like pink as I was fading it (still am) to do it half blue & pink, but my base under the pink isn't light enough for the sort of blue I'd like & I really don't want to have to bleach bath it for the sake of wanting a particular blue as I've only just got my hair back into decent health after the hair dresser ruined my hair. So I've opted for purple instead will this cover over my base? Usually when I dye my hair it's quite a dark but bright pink (pic added, also excuse the pose ::)). I was just wondering if anyone could suggest some darkish but bright purples.. I've been looking at Special Effects Wild Flower or Manic Panic Ultra Violet but not sure what they'll look like over my base could any body advise please, the picture of my hair faded doesn't look exactly like that in real life, the ends are a little more salmon like due to not having a very light blonde base to begin with & before I was pink I was orange & near my roots looks a little darker then it does in real life..
Sorry for the 1st pic being side ways.. I'm doing this off my phone.
When you say dark but bright, what sort of shade do you mean? Like a Cadbury's wrapper, or lighter?
Following with interest lol , I am thinking of a visit to purple too...
Yes a Cadburys wrapper purple would be the perfect way to explain the colour! π
@Swilks Oh we have matching hair.. We can have matching purple hair too lol π
I changed from pink to purple. It covered fine. I firstly used Crazy Color Lavender and hot purple and it gave me a purpley pink kinda color. Later on I started using just the hot purple and it was loads darker. It does fade to blue though so if you would rather it faded to a pink you would be better using another color.
Sorry for the selfie screen shots. They are on my Instagram and the only photos I have!
The purple is really cute on you π
@singthesorrow That is a beautiful purple! The colour of the fade will actually be great as I eventually want to go blue so no problems there. Thank you! π
No problem! Don't forgot to show off you're new colour when you've dyed it! π
