purple/red

Ok so I really didn't like my last attempt so I (v. dark purple with some subtle plum flashes through the front - nice enough just too dark for me!) so even though I was *trying* to be nice to my hair for a while while I grow it I have had to do something about it!

I am currently sitting with a XXL Luminance in UltraViolet on my head, I know, I know they are rubbish and bad for the hair etc but I wanted a quick fix as I had gross grey roots coming through too and couldn't be faffed with the whole fade, bleach (bath), colour process that I normally do!

Anyway, the colour is ok if a little MEH, not particularly as bright as I would normally have but certainly liveable for a bit....my dilemma is this, on the box it definitely says purple but on my head it looks more f a reddy colour, normally after colouring with a box-dye I go over it with a similar coloured semi to give it some depth and make it last longer but I don't know which one to use

I have a diluted poppy/vermillion red mix and a diluted violet/plum mix available - which would be best?
