Right, ive stripped my hair 3 times (colourb4) 1 with vit c, so gone from dark brown to a coppery gingery! What will it involve for me to go a light purple ? Totally clueless

For light purple, you will need to lighten your hair to a pale yellow. You can either do it with a full bleach or slowly by doing bleach baths over a few weeks.

I think you would get a very dark purple. I've only ever used purple on very light bases so cant help on the fading. If you want a darker purple. I would suggest doing a bleach bath to lighten your hair a tiny bit more for better fading color.

The fading will also depend on whether you pick a pink based or blue based purple.

It would get a dark purple, could even be just a hint of purple in direct sunlight. I have a purple dip dye on bleached and unbleached hair. The bleached parts are a very vivid purple while the unbleached ones (medium-to-dark brown) only have a bit of colour that you can see in the sunlight. Right now I am using a pink based purple and I'm having sort of dark pink highlight fading on the brown, unbleached strands.
Here is a pic of my hair with a purple fading if it can help you somehow. The underlayer was unbleached.

What sort of purple do you want? On a dark base it will come out very dark, on red/orange bases you get a more natural berry toned purple, you need to bleach to blonde for very vivid purples. If by 'light purple' you mean pastel shades like lilac, then you need to fully bleach to platinum blonde, with very few yellow tones.

I was originally using colour remover to go a lighter brown with blonde bits aswell, but after more research i know i wont get this without bleaching which i dont fancy doing myself as have absolutely no clue how too and cant afford or have the time to go the hairdressers. So seen a photo of purple hair and thought of that but i dont want to go dark again!! So basically im stuck where yo go next ??
This is the sort of purple i would like

So the colour at the bottom? You will need to lighten to a gold at least, and use something like Adore violet Gem, SFX Pimpin Purple or Pravana wild orchid.
