Purple hair dye in swimming pool

Hello everyone,
I've been searching a lot in the internet trying to find an answer to my hair related question, since I have not found anything, I've decided to post here because many times this was the only forum with every answers I needed at the time. So, I have purple hair (I used Deep Purple, SFX) and I would like to know from anyone who has or had purple hair, how's like to go to swimming. Here's the question: Will my hair turn/fade into green if I go swimming? I read that some people's hair faded into green after swimming in pool, but most of them had blue hair and I don't think it will happen the same with purple hair. Also, what happened to your hair? Have they faded much? Become more dry? In what colour did they turn into? Deep Purple has pink base so I guess it will fade into pink just like Pimpin' Purple.
Thank you so much in advance to anyone who will answer and if something is wrong with my english: I am very sorry😅 X💕

It will fade. No doubt about that, and it will fade fast. Very fast. There’s no real way to stop it other than wearing a swim cap and avoiding getting it in the water.

As for it turning green, it shouldn’t do if it’s got a pink base. It’ll go pink quickly though!

I forgot to answer your question about it being more dry. What I was doing when I was swimming a lot was to wash my hair as soon as I got out of the pool with swimmers shampoo (it will fade the colour even more!), then put on conditioner and leave it in until I got home. My hair actually was a little better during that time!
