I dyed my hair a mixture of Blood Red with touch of Napalm about 3 months ago.It was a lovely colour, but i don't want red again.

I've done a fading treatment vitc and anti dandruff shampoo. Its now awful really light at the front almost blonde but with green tinge (I presume from previous alpine green)
Anyhoo I fancy going purple a dark purple ,hoping that it will cover the different shades my hair is at the moment. Ive been waiting for SFX Deep Purple but cant hang on anymore with this crappy hair.
What would be a good substitute for deep purple, not Directions though as I don't fancy using it after the colour changes, would have been perfect the old Plum ah well πŸ™
Im wanting to try Adore as ive heard nothing but good about it. Which shade of Adore do you think would be closer to deep purple or bit lighter even but cover this crappy faded mess. I was thinking Purple Rage? Do you think it would  cover evenly,my crappy faded mess.Heres a pic its blimmin awful

Front is faded lightest

Back and sides not as light

Sorry for waffling basically would Adore Purple Rage be ok over this mess or anything else be better ,and do you think Id need 1 or 2 bottles. Thanks  πŸ˜‰

Update my money has just gone in and i've ordered 2 Adore Purple Rage  πŸ˜€ lets hope it goes ok,been dyeing hair ages now but never been purple

I've just purchased adore to replace my SFX. It's completely different texture wise. Very watery, so be prepared for that. I'm simply used to using sfx for so long I'm trying to determine best avenues to apply it. I've been told adore is very strong in pigment, so using a wee bit of conditioner to make it more manageable won't ruin the pigment that much if needed. I still have a tad of sfx left so I'll be mixing mine with that tonight. Let you know how it turns out. Sfx needs to get back on the shelves pronto!

Thanks  πŸ˜‰
I just hope the Adore purple rage will cover my badly faded hair evenly. Ive got bit of blood red maybe I could add bit to thicken it along with conditioner?.Gonna do another fade treatment later, last one worked quite well.
Hope yours turns out fab replicantgirl you'll have to post piccys when its done, from what ive read on here most people really happy with Adore. πŸ™‚

Hi Nirvana Girl cross post then πŸ™‚
What purple you going? Sure it'll look fab all your colours come turn out lush. I really loved Directions Plum the old one, regret not trying it now before they messed about with shades. πŸ™

I still have an old tub of plum in my collection. Well i have 3 purples, MP Ultra Violet, CC Hot Purple & SPX Pimpin - so i havent decided, i'm gonna choose once a see how light my hair goes. I'd love Adore Purple Gem is it? Glitterpix has the perfect purple shade but not sure how light / dark my purple will be yet.....

Combining adore and sfx just watered down the sfx. πŸ™ but others have added in that the color won't dilute if only using a small amount of conditioner with adore. That will be my next go round. πŸ˜‰ I just used it neat and the result came out very close to sfx cherry bomb. So there ya go. Works great! I've updated my profile to show the result.

Let us know how the Purple Rage goes! @BabyJ could probably give you some info on it, she has a ton of experience with purples! I don't think it's very available over there, but in the future if you liked the old Direction Plum, Punky Color Plum is pretty much the same color, very pink based + really pretty, and is long lasting too πŸ™‚

Thanks,Replicantgirl ive seen you're hair, its turned out gorgeous. Love it *1*
Katie I'll have look for BabyJ too. Not sure how available punky is over here, don't think its easy to get hold of, will have to check. I've read somewhere prob on here, that bit of cerise mixed with new plum turns out similar to the old one.
I'll post pics when I've done it, prob end of week/weekend after another fading and coconut oiling. Thanks everyone can't wait never been purple before!
