Can you take a photo?

Punky isn't a brand available in the U.K. (though it's similar to a brand we have, it's not quite the same) so I can't tell you if it's right or wrong, but we might be able to see if it looks wrong.

It's possible they've reformulated it. Sometimes that happens because regulations change or an ingredient disappears etc. It could also be a new batch, they can sometimes be quite different. Did you get it from a reputable source? It might not have been stored well, or there's even a possibility it's fake.

I will get a pic when I get home from work πŸ™‚ I got it from fuelthearmy.com which has always been great, I contacted them and they assured me stock is kept under climate control and rotated regularly.

I did notice very little dark bits throughout the dye, maybe the pigments separated causing the bulk of the dye to look lighter?

I've never come across a dye separating before. It seems unlikely because of the viscosity of them, but not impossible. I'm certainly not a chemist so I'm just guessing! Googling formula change or batch change isn't bringing anyone else up with the same issue.

I'd send the punky company and fuel the army a photo and see whet they say. The company might have an explaination and the sellers might have to check what they have. If there's bits of dark dye in it, it sounds like it might be the end of a batch or something (again, I'm guessing!).

It might be worth doing a strand test to see what colour it comes out. Just use a tiny bit in a hidden area or on some hair from a hairbrush. Even a blonde human hair extension if you have one. It might still come out the right colour, stranger things have happened!
