Post-merman hair colour troubles

Oh gosh I feel like I can't do right for doing wrong! It does feel dryer now I have to say. As for using a good bleach, I have never allowed anyone unprofessional bleach my hair - even the last hair stylist had to bleach it three times until it was no longer yellow! So I am actually impressed at the results of this stripper.

After tagging him in a picture of my new bonce, Scott Cornwall (the name behind the Decolour brand) tweeted suggesting I reapply only at the roots. Was considering doing this in the morning but your reply puts me off slightly, Wicked Pixie :-/

Personally, i wouldn't bleach on scalp two days on the trot. It is always better to let your natural oils build up and protect your scalp. Plus it is double processing, patience now will save you damage long term.
Your hair, so your choice, but it is not something I would recommend.
BTW if your stylist is bleaching your regrowth 3 times in one session you need to change stylists.

Yeah, that's not a great stylist and argh not the blooming stripper again! Dying hair is a bit of a steep learning curve and it doesn't help that so much of the beauty industry tells half truths and twists things.

For future reference, you can't get a dark colour lighter by adding more colour, no matter how pale the colour you're adding is πŸ™‚ I'm sure you've realised that now. All you needed to do was shampoo with a harsh shampoo, go swimming, things like that which all fade colour.

With the colour you have now, you could get a great purple or pink. It's rather too pink to get a good blue right now. It'll just pull to purple.

Thats pretty good advice.
