Patchy purple- looking for something that will cover it

Hello everyone! First of all I have been spying on this forum for a little while and you all seem super informative and lovely so I thought now that I have a query I'd get on the case..
I currently have violet hair, I mostly use Directions Violet now, although it was first dyed using a mixture of 2 Skream purples from Sally's.
Previously my hair was really light blonde, I had it bleached at a salon and kept it blonde for a few months, using a violet shampoo to get it a nice light colour, so the purple would cover it evenly.
Anyhoo it has only been a few months and the colour just seems quite patchy now, some parts seem to take a lot better than others, in general it doesn't seem too damaged but I just wondered really if it's worth trying to use the K-PAK treatment bits and bobs and see if these odd greyish bits need some tlc; OR just give up on violet. I don't really want to be bleaching it any more, as far as I know most of it is an even base colour and my roots get bleached to an ashy blonde so I'm not sure why it could be so patchy.
If I were to give up on the current colour are there any dyes that would take over purple? Was leaning towards SFX virgin rose purely because of its purple tinge and longevity.. any idea if it'd cover it ok?

Sorry for all the questions, I realise it is quite the story I've written here.
Thanks for any advice

Laura

Well it depends on how different the ligt and dark sections are. The Virgin Rose would easily cover the colour but may show brighter where it goes over the lighter sections. If you want it more even wash with Head and Shoulders a few times to strip a bit more colour out then you should be good to go.

Thankyou for your reply, may have to give virgin rose a go soon. At least it shouldn't need topping up every week and a half!

True! As another preventative leak method you can save some of the dye (they keep for ages as long as you keep the lid on) and use a teensy amount in your conditioner each time you wash your hair to top up the colour and make the fade go more slowly.
