Pale pink hair, washed out and now yellow, what next?

Hello,

This is my first post, and I'm fairly new to the world or crazy colours πŸ™‚ A bit of background.....

I have naturally mousey dark blonder hair, and prior to last week I had not bleached or lightened it for about 2 years, I had a balayage type thing going on. Last Aug I had the bottom lighter part of my hair dryed with Pinkissimo by Crazy Colours at my salon, I LOVED it, but it came out in a couple of washes. I topped it up myself a few times at home and then went for a longer term bright pink, Special Effects Atomic Pink. Loved it. Last used that before xmas, then a month or so later, decided I wanted to fade it out, purely to prove to myself that I could. (I know, sounds crazy!) Using deep cleansing shampoo and anti dandruff I got a good fade to a pale rosey gold pink colour.

Recently I decided I wanted to go really pale pink. So last week I went to my salon and had a full head of bleach to lighten my hair, and then Candy Floss by Crazy Colours over the top. The result was ok, a bit yellow in places, more so than I expected but I liked it overall. As predicted it has all but washed out after the first wash despite being careful when washing and attempting to top it up with some Pinkissimo mixed in y conditioner, which made no difference. Now the pale pink as mostly washed out I'm looking a lot more yellow and I'm not sure what to do next.....

I have 2 type of toning/purple shampoo to try but not used them yet, can I use them whilst I still have pink bits left?? I also then want to be pale pink but longer term, what is the best dye/colour to use for this? I know Crazy Colours notoriously wash out quickly.

I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance!

The first pics are the first day and second day (No washing) and the 2nd is today after washing yesterday, but I feel it is more yellow in real life but my phone wont seem to pick it up!

Hi πŸ™‚ I've got bleached blonde hair that has a brassy tone to it, and I've been dying it pink. It usually goes rose gold, but yesterday I mixed a different lilac-toned pink (rather than my usual diluted Flamingo Pink) and it's come out such a lovely pale pink.

I'm useless at photos, but here's the shade (ignore the underneath, it's darker on purpose). [Edited to just add the link - pic's not showing up. Hopefully this will work...]

I used very very diluted Flamingo Pink and Lavender by Directions. It's really helped me to achieve pale pink rather than pale rosy kind-of-pink salmon rose gold colour (which I loved too, but I'm loving this more). I think the blue in it is what's helped to tone out the peachy yellows.

No idea how long it'll last as I've not used Lavender before. Flamingo Pink has a fair bit of staying power though. As it's a pastel, I'm not sure you can get anything super long-lasting, but hopefully it won't wash out too quick.

As for the toning shampoo, I don't see any reason you shouldn't use that over pink. I hope you can get a longer lasting colour πŸ™‚

(Also, your hair looks so great in all of those pics!)

Ahhh thank you so much or your helpful reply πŸ™‚

Th colour of your hair is amazing on that pic, I hadn't thought of mixing blue/lavender in with pink, that makes complete sense to combat the yellow. At the moment, I have a Capri Blue and Violette from Crazy Colours in, I wonder if adding a bit of that to my next mix might help...I think I am going to go with a diluted Atomic Pink, might stick a blob of blue in, whats the worst that can happen?!

And thank you for the compliment on the pics πŸ™‚ I'm really rather pleased with it, but the candy floss has worn out so much Im more like 75% yellow at the moment  ::)

I'll add a pic of how it turns out πŸ™‚
