Basically I was dark brown, and in he space of two weeks I bleached my hair twice and bleach bathed it once, I then applied directions colour in dark tulip, lavender and lilac on my hair, obviously the ends didn't take as bright as my roots, and I have had to cut my hair due to the damage. I hate how bright pink it is and want it to fade immediately or even strip it if possible, any help would be appreciated immensely
Xxx
My mother also cut my hair 😳 So will have to let it grow before going to a hair dressers 😂
You're going to need to be very careful, your hair could be really damaged but not showing it yet.
Just wash your hair a lot. Use dandruff shampoo, neutrogenia t gel is very effective at stripping colour. You don't want to be too rough as you could start causing a lot of breakage, so I don't want to suggest anything too harsh.
Thank you for replying 😊 I got clarifying shampoo will that help? And if I wash everyday should It fade in a week? Also I am planning to deep condition and use coconut oil for the damage to restore health, and my friend is cutting it Tuesday she's an actual hairdresser unlike my mum 😂 I don't want to colour it again like brown to cover it or use colour b4 stripper because as you said could break my hair, but what about washing up liquid? And deep conditioning afterwards? X
What colour do you actually want?
I would avoid anything harsh at this point, including washing up liquid.
I don't want to be brown again, or blonde tbh just want the pink/purple but not so vibrant I just want it faded fast, it looks awful arm because of the haircut my mum give me too, I'm hoping it can be fixed Tuesday not that there's much more to take off 😔 More so my layers and fringe is cocked up x
Would like it faded like this (see photo)

I'm just worried because I read somewhere that directions colours are stubborn to fade
What about leaving clarifying shampoo or dandruff shampoo on for 30 mins and wearing a cap and then applying coconut oil or olive oil every night? Heard oils can fade colour x

Next time, dilute the colour you're using with conditioner. This will dilute the depth and vibrancy of the shade straight away.
Be careful leaving the shampoo on. It can be very harsh and drying, everything you want to avoid right now. You bleached way too often in too short a time and it's going to be very, very weak. If you want to actually hold on to your hair you're probably going to have to embrace the brightness for a little while. I've read about oils fading colour, but I've never noticed it making any difference. It's worth a try though.
It's not so much directions that are hard to fade, though they are the one of the brands that tends to be longer lasting. It's that pinks are hard to fade in general. But that's normally fading them out to blonde. Most you can get to fade down fairly fast to a muted shade, but maybe not this fast. It's possible, but you'll have to accept it might not go as far as you'd like.
I have just remembered one great one for fading that's not too bad. Go swimming. The chlorine fades pink in my hair to some gorgeous muted tones very quickly!
(P.S. Please see my mod note in your last post.)
I diluted the colours with conditioner however my hair just turned so vibrant 😔 I might give a miss on swimming as in my swimming baths you have to wear a cap and I don't want to turn water pink wherever I swim 😂 Can I just wash it everyday with clifying or dandruff shampoo and then deep condition afterwards and apply either coconut oil or olive oil every night??
Yes, but be gentle.
I found the Elvive Fibrology range of shampoo and conditioners to be really, really fading without drying mine out. I don't know if it'll work for everyone but I only used them a couple of times then binned them as they were pulling loads of colour out!
Don't use washing up liquid on damaged hair, I did it once and had to cut a chunk out that went sort of permanently crimped!
Ok thanks everyone 😊
