need help choosing the right red please?!

I think the red would look pretty neat and multitonal over your current base.  Regarding the chunky highlights--were they done recently?

Thanks I might just go for it then  🙂 I had the highlights done about 2 weeks ago when my hair was black so it lifted fairly well. Just looked a bit to normal for me! Lol!!

If you wanted to do a bleach bath, you'd need to leave it another two weeks 🙂  I still think it'd look pretty awesome over your current base.

Thanks for the post your hair looks lovely!  😉  I'm still undecided what to do with mine. I'm worried that if I put blood red on now it won't show up enough and I'll regret not lightening the base colour a bit more beforehand but don't want to wreck my hair arghhh!!! Lol!  ???

Ok. What I would do is put the red on it now. It will fade anyway as this is your first application of it. So in a couple of weeks you can fade it a bit more then do a bleach bath and reapply. It'll give your hair that much longer to recover before the bb anyway - and you get the best of both worlds. ☺ The worst that happens is you end up with a red / black combo for now which will look cool anyway!

Finally dyed my hair! I am pleased with the results! It's a very deep red with bright red streaks and darker on the ends. Here are a few pics of results! hard to get a good pic in certain lights. Thanks for your help everyone xx
