Manic panic disaster help!

I dyed my hair with manic panic ultraviolet last night expecting a nice vivid purple and it turned blue! It pretty much turned blue as soon as it touched my hair so I didn't dye all of it just in case. So I now have a blue patch!
Do I have a duff pot? Will it actually go purple if I over dye the blue? Is it my base colour? It bleached to a pale yellow and I used toner but maybe the base is still too yellow and is neutralising the purple?
Do any purples work with a yellowish base?
I really wanted a fade to blue purple rather than a fade to pink but was hoping to get a purple first!
Any other more purply purples I could over dye with?

Can we see pictures?

According to Beeunique's product page for ultraviolet:

Mid-shade purple with a blue tone to it. Can appear more blue on some hair types/colours

So you might want to mix it with a pink-based purple.

I had similar happen to me with Adore African Violet, it came out inky blue on me.  After a while I added a more pinky-purple (Violet Gem I think) and I finally had Cadbury purple  πŸ˜‰

Ultraviolet is definitely more blue toned. I agree, add pink. Just put pink over what you have now and it'll sort it out.
