What seems to be the longest lasting red semi now? I'm hoping that colour b4 will take enough of my brown dye out to go red but I don't want an orange based red.
Special effects or Adore for long lasting reds
Anyone ever used Adore Crimson? I want a really rich red. Last time I used colour b4 it took my hair to a gingery base so do you think Crimson would be ok over ginger?
Have a look at this thread, I think you will find it helpful http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=9714.0
I've used Crimson, it's such a beautiful colour! Lasted pretty well too. Can't say how long it will stay since I dyed over it with directions plum when it was still vibrant.
Any suggestions on what dye to use to get this red?
to be honest those all look more orange based to me. Maybe Adore Truly Red mixed with something slightly pinker like Crimson?
The girl on top is My Hertsgard and she uses Pillarbox Red by Directions on this photo (which is photoshopped) and she also used to use Rubine, Tulip and Vermillion Red.
Thank you. π
I've ordered Adore Crimson and Directions Pillarbox Red, I'll see how it turns out when I mix them.
Pillarbox is definitely pink based, so if you mix it with an orange based red (which perhaps Crimson is idk I don't use Adore) then you should get a true red that doesn't pull either pink or orange when it's fading.
Do you think Pillarbox on top of ginger will go a more true red rather than a pink red?
